Dublin-based writer/director Paul Duane makes his narrative feature debut with a folk horror movie titled 'All You Need Is Death' with a tale of a young couple who belong to a mysterious, secret organization.
The couple embark on a nocturnal journey in search of forbidden knowledge, convinced that modern alchemy is hidden within ancient, forgotten songs.
But, their quest takes a dark turn when they encounter an enigmatic elderly woman who sings never-before-heard songs, unleashing an ancient evil and madness upon them.
Starring in this folk horror film are Olwen Fouéré, Charlie Maher, Simone Collins and Gary Whelan.
Fouéré is a seasoned actress in the genre space, having previously appeared in Mandy, Sea Fever, She Will, and the 2022 release of Texas Chainsaw Massacre as Sally Hardesty, as well as The Northman. She is also set to star in the upcoming horror films The Watchers and Tarot.
Last year, All You Need is Death made its debut at the prestigious 2023 Sitges Film Festival.
This highly anticipated film, produced by XYZ Films, will finally hit select theaters and VOD platforms in the US on April 11th, 2024, just in time for spring. UK audiences can catch it on April 19th.
