Caitlin Cronenberg's Humane Set To Release In April

New horror movie Humane

Caitlin Cronenberg's upcoming dystopian horror thriller, Humane, promises to be a spine-chilling experience. In the teaser clip, a catastrophic event has occurred, and world leaders have decided that 20% of the population must be sacrificed to restore order. A father volunteers himself and his wife to die, but when she changes her mind, chaos ensues.

The government refuses to leave the house until they collect two bodies, and things spiral out of control.  According to the official synopsis, Humane takes place mere months after a global ecological collapse, and a retired newsman invites his grown children to dinner to announce his intentions to enlist in the nation's new euthanasia program. However, when his plan goes awry, tensions flare, and chaos erupts among his children

Directed by Caitlin Cronenberg and written by Michael Sparaga, the film features an impressive cast, including Jay Baruchel, Emily Hampshire, Peter Gallagher, and Enrico Colantoni. Caitlin Cronenberg, daughter of body horror legend David Cronenberg and sister of Infinity Pool director Brandon Cronenberg, makes her feature-length directorial debut with Humane.

Humane is set to release in the US on April 26th.
