When Ed and Lorraine Warren were called to investigate a farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island, little did they know that their experiences would spawn a movie franchise that has now expanded to eight films and counting.
The first movie, The Conjuring, released in 2013, chronicled the Warrens' efforts to rescue a family of seven from the clutches of demonic possession.
The success of the movie led to the creation of spin-offs such as Annabelle and The Nun, which were followed by sequels to the spin-offs.
With so many movies in the franchise, it can be difficult to keep track of the timeline.
Here is how you watch the Conjuring movies in chronological order.

The Curse of La Llorona
Also, before you mention why isn't The Curse of La Llorona on the list, well, according to the director of the movie, Michael Chaves, it is not part of the conjuring universe, despite the cameos, and while it has some connections, it is not officially part of the universe apparently.
There’s so much debate about it and I think I’ve played coy in the past, The idea was that [the Annabelle cameo] was going to be this little hidden thing that you were going to discover as you watch the movie. ''
Peter still gave his permission to let [Annabelle] be in there. The funny thing is that it was supposed to be a secret, it was supposed to be this Easter Egg, and [when the film premiered at] SXSW, there was a slip-up,
Chaves continued. "The presenter introduced the movie as the next entry in the Conjuring Universe. So that was a big kind of faux pas. It was a big mess-up, and that's the truth of how that all came together
A ninth film is due to hopefully be released in 2024/2025 titled Conjuring 4: Last Rites, but details are still under wraps. It is expected to be the final Conjuring film released.
