If you have not watched LongLegs yet, you can now catch it on digital platforms. The film has become one of the highest grossing movies of the year, grossing over $100m on an estimated $10m budget!
You can buy and rent the film on the likes of Amazon Prime and Apple TV,
No news on a streaming platform release, but if it ever does come to a streaming service, it will likely be Hulu since that is where Neon movies normally end up!

If you are wondering about the ending to LongLegs, director Osgood Perkins had a bit to say recently on the subject, as well one of the stars Blair Underwood.
The movie as you know if you have watched it, ends on a disturbing note when Harker finds herself unable to shoot a devil-possessed doll while trying to rescue her colleague Carter’s daughter.
The ending is ambiguous and leaves us wondering if the evil is truly over or if Lee, now possibly affected by the doll, might continue the cycle of violence and harm the child—or even herself.
Perkins had this to say:
That was always the ending. The ending was meant to be tragic. the devil wins again on a small scale. One of the fun things about using the devil as your villain is that the devil never really goes for world domination.The devil always feels like, ‘I’ll just f*** with this person, I’ll wreck this family, I’ll mess this kid up, I’ll torment this priest.’ It’s never like, ‘I’m going to eat the Vatican.It never gets to that point for me with the devil. The devil is a little more amusing and playful than that. The story of Lee Harker ends with the ending of the movie. The last shot that she fires is the worst thing that can happen to her.
He also went on to comment about the comparisons to Se7en.
We were consciously aware of our references and we wanted to create a pop art piece. As many times we could crib or steal a move from one of the great serial killer movies, we wanted to do it. That’s just Se7enI think Kevin Spacey has three or four scenes, right? He gives himself up, he’s in the thing and then he’s in the car and there’s the end. He’s always present, which we had with Cage too, like there’s a presence of this thing, but once you get to the guy, it’s almost anticlimactic
Blair Underwood also had this to say as well:
I think the reason people say that this movie is unsettling is because the message — in my interpretation — is evil exists and evil persists. So does good, This is a classic battle of good and evil. Maika Monroe’s character being the good, of course, and the [Nicolas] Cage’s being the evil. But it’s very clear at the end, the final moment, that evil does persist.I loved it because it was yet another twist My friends who have all these ideas for a sequel say, ‘Oh, but you’re dead.’ I say, ‘But am I?’” Underwood’s own son pointed out Carter was only shot in the shoulder, a potentially non-fatal wound. “We just don’t know,” he added.
The movie is definitely set up for a sequel easily enough if they wanted to with how it ended, and they could also explain the backstory of LongLegs as well, letting Nicolas Cage reprise his role again easily enough.

We have more news on just how well LongLegs has done at the box office.
Following on from the below news about the movie breaking records for Neon upon its release, it has now been announced it is now the studios highest grossing film ever, and has currently grossed over $60m, beating the previous record set by Parasite, which was $53m.
It also becomes the highest growssing indie horror film of the last 25 years, surpassing Insidious.
Chances are the movie will surpass $100m worldwide and on its 10m budget, that's a massive success.
Will we see a LongLegs sequel? I would definitely like to know more about the backstory, so it is possible I suppose, and will make the company even more money! And as we all know, money talks.

It seems the marketing for LongLegs has done its job for Neon, as it has beaten a previous record that was set by Immaculate earlier on in 2024.
The film was estimated to have taken $3 million from Thursday previews last week and set a new record for Neon, beating the previous record held by Sydney Sweeney’s Immaculate from a few months ago as previously mentioned.
Opening weekend figures put it at around $26 million, and considering its $10 million budget, that's a very strong start for Neon and one that will no doubt go up even more.

A new trailer has been released for LongLegs, and you can watch it below!
I have to say, the marketing has been excellent for this movie, with mysterious billboards in Los Angeles, a phone number where you can actually talk to Longlegs, and a website titled The Birthday Murders that tracks all his murders in detail. Reminds me a lot of the effort The Blair Witch Project marketing went into back in 1999.

Following on from the below, it seems LongLegs is making quite the impression.
On May 31st, during the Los Angeles film festival Beyond Fest, the movie was given a surprise screening, and early feedback seems very positive from people in attendance.
The Nerds of Color had this to say
Osgood Perkins’ #Longlegs is a profoundly unsettling, deeply creepy film that will crawl and linger in your mind for days. Incredible performances from Maika Monroe, Nicolas Cage and Alicia Witt. And the best, most disturbing horror film of the year.
Film critic Courtney Howard followed on the positivity.
It’s as if #Longlegs was forged in Hell by Satan, who brought it as an artifact into our world as a gift. Osgood Perkins’ film is the real fucking shit. Mischievous, steadied tension build, SCARY & SICK AF. Maika Monroe is terrific. Nicolas Cage is in pure weirdo mode.
And Bill Bria who saw the film went even further, saying it is possible the scariest first ten minutes ever.
I was so lucky to see #Longlegs, and no exaggeration: it could be the best horror film of ‘24. Oz Perkins can really get under my skin; this is his masterpiece. Monroe gives a fabulously unique lead performance, and Cage? NIGHTMARISH. Maybe the scariest 1st 10 mins, ever.

Neon has just released another teaser trailer for the upcoming horror film, Longlegs, which is set to release this July. The story follows FBI Agent Lee Harker as she investigates an unsolved serial killer case that takes unexpected turns, revealing evidence of the occult and Harker discovers a personal connection to the killer and must stop him before he strikes again.
The film stars Maika Monroe as Lee Harker and the films cast also includes Nicolas Cage, Alicia Witt, Blair Underwood, and Dakota Daulby. Although there isn't much footage in the teaser, the text and the few shots included were enough to make me very intrigued.
A new poster was also released which you can see above as the main image on the page.
The film is set to release on July 12th.
