Hell House LLC: Lineage to Get Limited Theater Release
Before landing on Shudder in October, the new film in the Hell House franchise will be getting a limited theatrical release via Terror Films and Iconic Events sometime in August.
Director Stephen Cognetti had this to say:
This is by far the biggest Hell House of the series, so experiencing it in a theater is definitely the best way to consume the final chapter. For the story, scope and scares I wanted to write in Lineage, found footage was going to be too restrictive to make the film that I wanted to make. I set out to make a Hell House movie like you’ve never seen and I promise you won’t be disappointed in the change of format.
New Images Released
Hell House LLC: Linage WON'T Be A Found Footage Film
It seems the new Hell House film, the 5th installment in the franchise, is going in a new direction, as it apparently won't be shot in the found footage style of the previous 4 films.
In a post on Reddit, someone posted a screenshot of a conversation with director Stephen Cognetti who said he has changed the style for the film to expand the story and make it scarier.
Hell House LLC: Lineage Confirmed
Good news if you're a fan of the Hell House LLC franchise, Terror Films have recently announced a fifth movie is set to be released, Hell House Lineage will start filming this November and release around October 2025 with Stephen Cognetti writing and directing again.
Terror Films stated that this chapter will explore the backstories of existing characters and introduce new ones.
The previous film, The Carmichael Manor, was well-received by critics and fans for its found footage style and genuine scares and all of the franchise so far is currently streaming on Shudder for you to watch.
