4 horror movies releasing in August to watch

In my July horror movie preview, I had selected MaXXXineLongLegs and  Dead Whisper to watch and you can read my review of those movies by clicking the links.

Here's 4 horror movies I am looking forward to watching in August 2024.

Trap

I am not a massive fan of M. Night Shyamalan, I always go in looking forward to seeing his films, but mostly I come out disappointed as he tries too hard and at times, he just needs to keep it more simple, a trait his daughter seems to have picked up if The Watchers is anything to go by. After watching the trailer for Trap, I am being sucked in again, but will I regret it and not learn my lesson?
Cooper Adams, taking his teenage daughter, Riley, to pop star Lady Raven's concert as a reward for her good grades, notices the unusually high police presence around the concert venue. He learns from a vendor named Jamie that the FBI plans to catch a serial killer known as "the Butcher", having learned they will be in attendance.

Alien Romulus

This one will be the seventh installment in the Alien franchise and serves as a standalone interquel set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). [Read my Alien Romulus Review]
Space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life-form in the universe while scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station.

Cuckoo

I have been looking forward to Cuckoo for a little while, and have loved all the posters they have released so hopefully I will get to see this as soon as it comes out. [Read my Cuckoo review]
Seventeen-year-old Gretchen reluctantly leaves America to live with her father at a resort in the German Alps. Plagued by strange noises and bloody visions, she soon discovers a shocking secret that concerns her own family.

Stream

Stream is a horror movie from the team behind Terrifier 2, and Damien Leone, the director of the Terrifier movies, will also be on board for the special effects! This one peaked my interest straight away!
As the Keenan’s try to bring their family closer together, they unwittingly enter themselves into a game of life or death. With four deranged killers patrolling the halls of their hotel and competing for the most creative kills, the odds are definitely stacked against them.
